Psychodynamic Thinking
NEWSLETTER - WINTER 2021
Anxiety, confusion and loss have been everywhere around us this winter, and it has never felt more urgent to provide spaces where we can think together about the wider societal and global issues that impact on us all.
We hope that our discussion groups and webinars will offer the support we all need for 2022, so that we can keep on learning and being creative as a community of psychodynamic organisational thinkers, whatever the coming year brings.
Here are details of our upcoming Webinars and SIGs, plus exciting news about reduced price PEP membership!
How to find latest information on groups
Once you’ve logged into the Community Site, you’ll see on your home page two oblong orange buttons called ‘Webinars’ and ‘Discussion Groups’. These will take you to the current selection of available webinars and special interest groups.
You’ll also see another oblong orange button that will take you to groups run by our affiliate organisations. You can also search for these groups from the ‘Main Search’ menu bar on every page.
Special Interest Groups are for all members of the Site, and each one provides a unique collaborative thinking and learning space where participants can join together in a confidential environment to share their experiences. They’re all free

APPCIOS PEP member scheme
Introduction
PEP – Psychoanalytic Electronic Publishing – is an online resource containing 136,000 articles from 79 journals. Annual membership entitles you to unlimited access to this vast database.
How does it work?
Members pay an annual subscription in April. APPCIOS members can now join at a significantly reduced rate, and APPCIOS will invoice you. You can join, for the full fee, part way through the year, but there are no rebates for early release. Once you have joined, you receive the PEP login.
Cost
There are two tiers: Member for US$70 (c.£55) and Student for US$40 (c.£30). APPCIOS will accept the student rate for anyone who is on a paid APPCIOS course or webinar. This represents less than half the usual price, and the initial entry fee (US$1,300) is waived.
Joining
We will require your application by mid February for an April start. We will invoice you in April, along with your APPCIOS membership invoice. You MUST pay your APPCIOS membership at the same time as your PEP membership, as this is a member benefit. The database will be held by Michelle Safo, our administrator, to whom all PEP membership applications should be addressed.
For January 2022 only
You can join from 1 Jan to 31 March 2022 and pay ‘pro rata’ just the fee for one quarter. We will advise exact amount, depending on exchange rates. Please email Michelle Safo ASAP!
