APPCIOS Community Site April 2020 Upcoming Events Dear friends and members of APPCIOS,    We’re happy to be welcoming so many new members onto our Community Site at https://psychodynamicthinking.info/     Live Discussion Groups   Self-Isolating   Our first discussion group to explore the experience of self-isolating is fully subscribed.  We are now running a second group which will be meeting for the first time on Wednesday April 1st at 6.00 pm.  Please note the change of time -  several of you told us that you were not available during the day.    If you would like to join, please email Georgina Hardie at georginahardie@hotmail.com   Saturday Gathering   We are setting up a gathering space  - Psychosymposium  -  where members of this Site can meet for live discussions around papers, articles, books, films, poems - or anything else that catches your attention.      Our first meeting will be on Saturday 4th April from 4.00 to 5.30 pm and in view of the pandemic we’ve posted a recent paper by Paul Terry - ‘Fears of Death and Fears of Dying in the Counter-Transference’.    Paul will join us to comment and participate in the discussion.     Please sign up here - You are welcome to post your own suggestions and contributions.    Focus on Zoom   We’re convening a group, Focus on Zoom, to explore how we experience the differences between being in the same space and meeting through Zoom - both professionally and socially.  Join us at 5.30 pm on Thursday 9th April.    Go here to sign up for that.     Please don’t forget to put the name of the groups you’d like to join on the messages that you send us.     Using the Site   Posting and Commenting   We hope that you will soon feel confident about leaving your thoughts and comments on our Bulletin Board, and in the confidential comment boxes which you’ll find when you join our private discussion groups.     There’s an ongoing public conversation on Coronavirus on our Community Bulletin Board;  you can find that here.  Please join in.      And If you don’t yet know how to do this, you can find some video instructions to help you with the process here.     Guided Tours for Technophobes   If you’re a committed technophobe, please join one of our live tours of the Site:  the next one is at 5.30 pm on Tuesday April 7th.  Contact Tony Burch here to book a place.      And meanwhile . . .   We will continue to send you regular updates about live groups that we will be hosting on our Community Site.       We’d welcome your thoughts and suggestions.  If you want to ask us questions, give us ideas or offer support, please let us know.  You can reach us at admin@appcios.info Keep safe!   With all our best wishes,    Team APPCIOS
